Great location
Great location Friendly staff Clean, daily maid service Comfortable common area with all day snacks Substantial continental breakfast Good WiFi Our only complaint was the loud window AC in our room, and without it, the room was really stuffy… no ventilation

What a New Year experience to remember for life
We have been staying at The Casablanca for 10 years now and don’t stay anywhere else in New York. We heard so much about New year at The Casablanca and decided it was time to see if it lives up to all the good stories we had heard. Well John and his team delivered a memorable experience including cheese and wine every evening, dinner on New Year’s Eve at Tony’s next door with a complimentary bar. Followed by dancing and drinks before heading to the roof to countdown to New Year and watch the ball drop. The following morning a late breakfast next door was much welcomed. Add this to the usual great service, We will definitely do New Year again in the future at the Casablanca and head back every year for our annual visit NYC.

First class service!
The hotel Casablanca was a fabulous place to stay! The location, right off Broadway is perfect, but also quiet. Staff was amazing, going above and beyond with directions and recommendations. The hotel was clean and felt safe. The breakfast and complimentary coffee was so nice! I would stay here over any hotel in NYC.

Great Experience
This was a lovely old hotel and a remarkably peaceful oasis just off the chaos of Times Square. Great location to walk to Broadway shows and very good subway and Grand Central Station access. To a person, the staff were warm and helpful. We will definitely return. The only bump we ran into was there's no QR code available in the room to facilitate tipping housekeeping staff - they're amazing, so being prepared for that gap is recommended.

Old and dark hotel but in a good location
We are a family of four and choose the Casablanca Hotel, New York due to its additional bedroom with sofa bed, so our two teenage children could have individual beds. The hotel is superbly located a few steps from Times Square but is still quiet. The staff were always polite and friendly and any minor concerns we had were addressed immediately. Unfortunately, the room we were allocated was at the back of the hotel and even though spacious, all the windows were glazed over making it dark with no natural light. We were unable to open the windows. There were fans and air con units in the room, but this did not make up for the lack of fresh air. The bathroom window could be opened slightly and we could see the view was a closed in courtyard full of bins, with each of the four building walls of the quadrant pumping out stale air conditioning. In the morning, one of these units strongly pumped out the smell of bacon, from obviously cooking breakfasts. I dread to think about of rats which were down there with over ten bins and rubbish. The hotel was also very old (worn carpet and decor). We thought before we arrived it would reflect the look of the Casablanca film time but still be fairly new, however this was not so. The lifts were old and the stair case on the upper floors spooky looking with draped curtains and dark wood. The hotel and house keeping were excellent though and the room was very clean. The two double beds were queen size which was disappointing as we expected king size doubles. The breakfast was very basic with no hot food. Only cereal, bagels, croissants and yogurts. In summary, this hotel is old and dark but location wins through if you are happy with a basic choice rather than luxury.

Great stay
I've stayed at the hotel 4 or 5 times and love it. The location is excellent; especially if your focus is theater. It's convenient to the theaters, subway and many restaurants. I also love the 2nd floor which is inviting and it's a real treat to have coffee, tea, water and snacks available all day.

Amazing Hotel
Amazing place to stay. Very nice and clean hotel. Staff was professional, very helpful, and fun. I will stay here everytime I go to NYC. The breakfast / snack was nice to use for snacks before or during the day. The staff helped us find amazing restaurants and the best way to get around town.

Our go-to NYC hotel
We love this hotel: The rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is a real convenience, but the best part is the staff. They always welcome us back; they are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make our visit pleasant!

A surprisingly quiet stay
The people who work at this hotel were exceptionally kind and exceptionally focused on service. They were welcoming from the moment they opened the door. The second floor is set up beautifully so that you have a space to stop and read, have a snack, have a drink of water, and just be inside this very quiet hotel. From inside our room, you would never have known that we were in the middle of Times Square. It was truly silent. The rooms are dated, the hotel is kept very clean, the space was big, and we would unquestionably stay again.
